Would "harsh criticism" have been more appropriate than "attack"? Seems like semantics to me but by all means proceed with the outrage or should I say harsh criticism.
The thread is about the NY Times and their one-sided coverage of the story. Lewis calls the president-elect an illegitimate president and the NY Times does not take Lewis to task for his words. Trumps tells Lewis to do his job, and the NY Times labels Trumps comment as an "attack".
That's the point.

But Lewis didn't attack Trump with his statement. I understand many see it that way but if Lewis attacked anyone it was the Russians for their propaganda campaign to swing the election. Lewis didn't disparage Trump or his candidacy. But I suppose those facts aren't important.
