Go deer hunting. If you don't go regularly, find someone that wouldn't mind taking you a few mornings.
At least one of three things for sure happens: you get out of the house. You are rewarded with moments of quiet reflection to gather your thoughts, and find mental avenues to improve yourself. You get to legally shed blood, which can make you feel oh so very alive.
Merry Christmas.

Find good friends, good music, and good lsd. It makes the holidays pretty damn bright.

So you have something to be thankful for. It's cheaper that way. Treat yourself to a nice trip.

You joke but I'm feeling this thick bopper at the moment... need to check to see if she went back home to Cinnci for the holidays or not.

OP: Hang in there, man! I, too, hate the holidays. Lost my dad 6 years ago. Lost my oldest son 3 years ago. Watching my wife try to get through the holidays is a killer. Remaining son just got through a divorce. My only grandchild lives in Baton Rouge with my daughter in law, and I hurt for her pain. She is only three. I worry about her. I treasure every moment I have with her.

I have kids till Xmas eve then go back to their mamas. I'm at IHOP. Peaceful and content going to parents for lunch. I'll be hammered by 2pm. Merry Christmas.

I was always jealous of the kids who's parents were divorced. Seems like they'd get a new dirt bike every time their dad got outta jail
I never got a dirtbike, my parents said they were "dangerous"

You can still have a nice Christmas. Spend the day watching something you enjoy while cooking a huge meal. If you can afford it, go buy yourself something you've been wanting.

My wife died a year and a half ago. It is what you make of it. That's all I can add..........
