Why don't we wage war with Mexico

I'm suprised no republican candidate mentioned this. If we go to war with Mexico, we could use their capitulation as a bargaining tool.
Terms such as maintaining stronger borders or possibly have a proxy state where immigrants can live under US advisory without being citizens.
We could even harness their resources to expand our economy.
Any thoughts.

So you'd like to go to war with Mexico over things that we could easily resolve through simply passing domestic legislation? That makes, not a lick of sense. I hope your OP was an attempt at something else rather than a straightforward and sincere suggestion.
