Light recovery is from the tube size, not the objective.

Larger tube size affects available internal travel more than it does light transmission. Larger objective leads to more light gathering. Largerscope tubes were created to have more usuable internal space. Lens are a different story, regardless of size arguably.

False. Objective / magnification, higher the number the better for low light visibility.
