The real value is determined by what people will pay for it. If they are able to get four times the price of what it was just two years ago and that is the true current value.

I agree, but I suspect many of these antique shop owners are having a tough time flipping the items they purchase as auction. I suspect this because I check in on several antique stores and I see the same items sitting in there for months on end. A lot of this stuff isn't moving.
