Good.
People like me who don't support Trump will just make us want to...
Eh, forget it. You aren't smart enough to see you are getting played.
PS - I support your right to be a moron.

The sentiments and expression which makes us feel the most uncomfortable are that which require the fiercest protection.
It is counterintuitive but when you feel the need to stifle someone's speech or expression then that is the time to remember our fallen soldiers and what they died for...and NOT invoke their memory as a way to suppress that with which you disagree. Their memory is not a currency which can be traded for political leverage when it suits your needs.

Just because it is legal, doesn't make it nice or respectful.

And if I was present and saw you do it, the proper thing would be to pummel the living crap out of you. I always find it interesting that you Libs always seem to do this at a college campus or some other "Safe Place". Just once, show some real 'nads and go and do it in front of the main gate at Camp Pendleton.

Homerun post.
This exactly.

So violence is an acceptable response to speech that we disagree with?
Is that why America exists?

My standard reply: They would be mature enough to understand that many have given everything for you to be a prick and destroy a symbol that represents those sacrifices.
I assure you they would be forgiven by 85% of the folks here...my estimate.

What other symbols are more important than our rights? Bald Eagles? What if I were destroying the seal of the US?
Are you serious? Uhh...Bald Eagles are against the law to burn/kill, or even mess with their nests. So yes they are more important than the 1st Admendment

Americans' rights > any symbol
I've said a long time ago the best way to deal with people burning the flag is to get A) a gay pride flag and burn it right along side the American flag burners because 99% of these flag burners are GLBT and or sympathizers. or B) a African flag and burn it in the same fashion. or walk on it of spit or shite on it. exercise your right to free speech also.
Let them know that you too see the flag that represents THEM, as a symbol of hate and intolerance.
Then you get to prove then yet again as a bunch of hypocrites when they flip their shite over you burning their flag.

Why isn't flag burning a crime? If I go outside and light my garbage on fire on a public street I'm pretty sure I could be arrested and/or fined.

It never ceases to amaze me how selective "conservatives" are when it comes to government.

Americans' rights > any symbol, most notably the national flag of the country from which the aforementioned rights emanate. Makes sense to me.

Oh, how eloquently phrased. The flag stands for those sacrifices that allow this destructive concept. It would seem certainly more fitting to protest carrying a U.S. flag along with a sign for whatever your little snowflake arse is upset about. Can you grasp this alternative positive concept rather than act like a child with a match and set a flag on fire.
Personally, as stated before if you did this in my presence and were ignited in the process, I wouldn't waste the piss it would take to put the fire out.

We all understand not every form of "speech" is fully protected by the 1st Amendment, yes?
Do what you wish and think how you will, but it seems pretty illogical to burn/destroy/kill any symbol of the country which grants your rights and freedom.

I think it's just as American for someone to throw a cup of gasoline on someone holding a burning American Flag.
If burning a flag is American then burning an American burning a American flag is Super American...
