I get what you're saying, but y'all aren't seeing the forest for the trees. What O did here and at USC is not indicative of Os strengths as a HC. If anything it speaks more of ensminger and Aranda.

quote:look at the shite teams we played regardless of ranking. Their defenses were horrible against the run. Assholes are going to say "go look at SOS, but the SEC outside of Bama and Vandy are total shite for defense against the run that includes UF due to injuries in their care on offense and defense.
And it's amazing O got more put of Miles players than miles could.
The SEC is 6-8 against the Power 5. Let that shite sink in morons that are trying to make this coaching look "fantastic". It was LSU playing to their strength - ru. The football against shite teams that couldn't stop the run. Miles would have swept the table outside of Bama. Thanks to Dave Aranda's defense getting better as the season went on we were able to get more stops, thus more opportunities. You saw what happened when 1 player - Beckwith got hurt how much the run defense suffered. This longer drives and less opportunities for offense. It bacame a scoring game against TAMU late because of that.
This will be set up for failure worrying about coordinators leaving each year because O has ZERO strengths on OC or DC.
Sits as simple as that.

1. Coach O is very much an upgrade over that quitter. Evidenced by prep, energy, and improvement in Miles' own offense left for Ensminger to get the best he could out of that crap.
2. LSU did not hire the best replacement for the quitter. Oh well, O has a short leash imo.
3. Miles was a shite hire from the get go who left his previous team like a pos just to get here. F Miles.
4. LSU is better off that he is gone.
Edit: Everything O did from Sunday to Saturday was a big improvement over Miles. And you Miles apologist are just in denial. Or O haters. Either way, Coach O was a Yuge improvement. Just not the best hire. But better than Miles by miles.

Point to one game against a terrible team miles put up numbers like that? I'll wait......jacksonville st? Lol this site lost its mind because we completed a forward pass and a few to the tight ends. Miles had no offense against anyone.

Miles doesn't have a lisp you idiot. Thats not me supporting him either. Thats you not knowing what a lisp is.

Again, how is this different from Miles?
Please tell me you believe offense was a strength of Miles lol

Yet he won and would have won against run defenses like Arky at 105 and Mizzou at 108 and how about the big bad TAMU at 84? Southern Miss is at 65. Lost to UF who was decent but shite on offense and Bama - 125 TOTAL YARDS AND 5 FORST DOWNS! AU with FREAKING that shite Jeremy's johnson at QB did better than LSU!
WTF are you idiots watching!
This is an 8-4 team AT BEST with the SEC back to 2013 strength.

When I found out they fired him - :nana: :nana: :nana:
O to be interim- :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:
We hired our D-Line coach as full time head coach-    :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
I never thought we'd fire Miles to downgrade coaches....

I will give credit to O for shortening practices and allowing our guys to keep fresh and for the general steadiness he brought to the program in a hectic time.
Every Tiger fan should give give credit to O for the general steadiness he brought to the program in a hectic time. He deserves it.
The same way Miles should have been given credit for the steadiness he brought to the program during the hectic times of the hurricanes in 2005. Sadly, not everyone felt he deserved credit for his role in keeping the team focused that year.

I've already stated that Alleva made a bad hire and didn't do his job.
I took exception with we should have kept Miles.
My argument is that 2016 Miles was a far cry from 2007 Miles. He was no longer a good coach. O did a better job than what Miles could.

Yes that is looking on the bright side.

Yep, gone. Better late than never

Look at the forest? Let's say LSU is a tree. Would you agree it is fair to say that the other 127 teams in the FBS make up a forest?
Well then, let's just see where Coach Miles lands in the "forest".
I mean, after all...Texas passed on hiring Coach Miles in favor of a guy with two seasons of HC experience, no championships, and losses to Navy, SMU, and Memphis this year...but hey, Texas is just one tree in the forest. Right?
Surely, some "above-average" Power 5 conference school will hire Coach Miles because of his 2007 Natty and his high winning percentage, right??
You don't have to take my word for it. It's a free market. Where CLM lands in the "forest" is ultimately going to be more telling, than any opinion posted on the Rant.

Is anybody beating a path to Miles' door? Purdue or Indiana maybe? Then he'd have to coach against his beloved Michigan. No chest for that. Also miles may be playing a game as though he appears to be looking for a job with no real intention of getting one. Reminds me of Dinardo.

Yeah we fired a great recruiter and great motivator that has questionable game day coaching and hired a far far far less successful great recruiting and great motivator that has questionable game day coaching.

Well you're stupid.
Coach A= one of the winningest coaches in sec history and the #1 win % at a top 10 alltime program
Coach B= has never ran a successful offense, defense , or program
But yeah i can see how coach B would be an upgrade.
You posters that actually believe that a career dline coach is a better coach than Miles are fricking delusional.
