And the media is 100% to blame. Sure, he's an athletic freak, but he belongs nowhere near NYC for the Heisman ceremony. Here are his 2016 statistics:

Defense
-59 tackles
-13 TFL
-3 sacks
-1 INT
-1 pass defended
-0 forced fumbles
-0 fumble recoveries
-0 TD's

Offense
-167 rushing yards (6.2 average)
-3 receiving yards
-3 rushing TD's
-0 receiving TD's

Special Teams
-310 punt return yards (14.8 average)
-260 kick return yards (26.0 average)
-1 punt return TD
-0 kick return TD's

BUT OMG HE PLAYS LB, CB, SAFETY, QB, RB, WR, PR, KR

And for personal satisfaction purposes only, here's a nice video of Mike Weber kicking him out for Curtis Samuel's game winning TD yesterday.

A day late and a dollar short on this. Fifth best player on the D. Jack of all trades, master of none, I agree. We get it.

He's poor in coverage, and I believe he was misused this year on offense.

Here's a question, though: why is he still on your mind?

Better candidate than Manti Te'o, though.

Only Michigan fans ever tried to claim otherwise and they were universally derided by fans of every other team

In a normal year he isn't in the conversation but this is one of the weakest years I can remember. Jackson is prob going to win despite his team losing their last two games in pretty bad fashion

He's no Charles Woodson. I think that was his first INT yesterday

They're putting anybody out they can. When the damn frontrunner is coming off back to back losses to Houston and Kentucky it's desperation time.

Michigan has a marketing machine rolling under Harbaugh and ESPN will suck any blue blood Dick for fifty bucks.

Peppers' Heisman moment was when Iowas backup running back made him fall down with a stutter step.
