The LSU Administration has put a big fat turd smear all over the job.

Mishandling Les Miles last year/Bringing him back and firing him in the first quarter of the season

The whole Chief situation/Les Miles Clause that crippled assistant hiring or gave a dead man walking vibe

Miles overall winning record not being enough(people dont want to look into the product just simple bullets and Miles won a lot of games)

SEC competition and having to face Bama/Florida every year vs staying in the ACC or hoping to land in the Big 12. LSU expectation is that you can win those games and compete for titles. In Texas you play a 1 game calendar schedule.

Also let us not run down Texas or FSU. Texas has just as many resources as Bama and a easier path to success. FSU is already built and churning for Jimbo. These are 2 really good programs and also either a Top 5 or Top 10 job.

Herman probably already has the Texas job done in place. Jimbo was just a bit more comfortable staying where he has already put in so much work.

I would not call these strike outs as much as simple misfires. Herman if you wanted him should have been hired a year ago. Jimbo I never felt good about prying away from FSU because of the success he has already had there.

You have got to get off of here with that type of rational thinking.

Why would anyone think Fisher would leave a top program for another top program in a lateral move?
