If O keeps Aranda how can you really be weary?

We know he will recruit the best DL and OL we've had since Saban......

We know we will be able to afford the top OC in the country because O's price tag is cheaper than most.....

What is the big scary part of this equation?

The negativity relates only to him as a HC candidate. He doesn't have the skill set to be a successful HC. That's not an insult.

No negativity. Everybody loves him. But people wanting him over Jimbo is foolish. He's number 2. What's wrong with that.

How long do you think Aranda will be around? This whole idea about Coach O being the guy hinges on Aranda staying forever and hiring the most elite OC of all time. That isn't exactly an endorsement of Orgeron's ability.

Why won't Aranda be here in 1 or 2 years making 2 million a year?

Please someone answer that question? Is it the magical Head Coaching job?

Which means there are roughly 40 places that will pay him more.

NCAA violations have followed O at every stop so there's that

I can remember when the board consensus was that O should not even be allowed around LSU's program to avoid being tainted. Now a significant portion of the posters passionately want him as HC.

If a coach has to have the best OC and DC money can buy to be successful he's probably not the coach you need.

Aranda will also get a shot at a smaller school as a HC if he continues to field the defense we've seen so far this year.

While I do agree that there is a scenario where O is the best available in my opinion there are two or three that would first have to turn the job down.

His only stint as a permanent head coach was a colossal failure. I think people, myself included, are a bit hesitant with LSU being the litmus test as to whether he has changed or improved and can now take on that kind of a role.
