The goal is the de facto Criminalization of any dissent from Progressivism.

For now actual criminalization of Mainstream/tradititional/Conservative/Classical liberal thought has been put on hold. For now.

So the strategy is to punish dissent through shaming, threats of ostracization and violence. Social media and the broader popular culture are the current conduit to achieve this. The Left is implementing a formal strategy of staying in a PERMANENT state of political AGITPROP. Historically , angry political street theater is the precursor to larger social upheaval and eventual Revolution if conditions are right and it reaches critical mass.

Those who favor The Rule of Law and wish to maintain the right to speak freely without threat of violence as Americans have traditionally done, will face some difficult choices. Particularly in areas where Progressive "leadership" approves of said Agitprop. At some point "normals" have to decide whether they will allow themselves to be permanently threatened for the simple exercise of their free speech rights (say voting for the Republican nominee) or whether they are willing to fight back before events overtake them.
