Your vote IS your voice.
He's protesting the anthem to demand change, but if he's too lazy to go out and vote for candidates/issues that would promote the change then he's a hypocrite like SAS said.

Yea, saw this earlier. He destroyed Kaepernick.

Yes it's his choice and obviously I would never advocate madidtory voting, but it's obvious Kapernick is taking the lazy man's route. He's a millionaire. Kneeling during the anthem and not voting are the laziest routes possible for a person to still have plausible deniability when people accuse them of not caring.
And SAS is probably pissed because he realized KK is just a lazy arse kid and not a revolutionary.
It stings when you find out your brothers in arms are just retards that like to play Madden and eat pizza when push comes to shove.

Because he (and all the others who followed his lead and took a knee too) engaged in protest to complain about what they saw as inequality and oppression and demanded change. Voting is the best way to get things changed....so by him protesting for change, then not actually voting, its hypocritical of him.
This, it is the principle of the matter. And for a guy who uses his position to further his principles and beliefs to then not participate in change completely discredits his crying.

SAS and Colin can both go to hell. They're equally ignorant and annoying in my book.

Just realized this isnt the same one I watched. The one he has on his facebook page is even worse. He did a live facebook broadcast earlier.

disagree. You don't have to vote in order to have a voice on a particular issue. Lots of black men didn't want to vote for Hillary.
President probably wasn't the only thing on his ballot.

This is the first time he says anything that is worth a shite!

No one in the entire country? If he didn't like any of the candidates on the ballot he could have written someone else in. No excuse dude. If you put yourself out there as an activist and then slap all of your followers in the face, the SAS rant is what you get, and it's what you deserve. Expect more to come.

I think what Stephen A was trying to say was that Kaep is a hypocrite, he kneeled protesting the national anthem and wanted social changes to take place. However, he failed to realize that the process of voting, selecting your representatives, is the most fundamental way to elicit those changes.
So basically, to Stephen A, Kaep just is an immature attention-seeking little kid throwing a temper tantrum. He is doing his protest to get attention and praises for himself only.

Exactly, Kaep is not protesting anymore. He's pouting.

You guys have a lot more faith in him than I do. I honestly believe he just wanted attention because he wasn't getting on the field before he started his slap in the face of a free country rant. Now everyone is talking about him and he's playing. We also are reminded why he wasn't playing...

Colin Kaepernick is the fakest martyr of all time. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I understand the opinion he's supposedly representing but thinking he should represent any movement like this is comical. Imho he undermines every other activist that speaks out that's actually legitimate enough in their convictions to take seriously.
ETA: I know people who didn't vote bc they had no strong feelings for or against any candidate, or there was no lesser of two evils in their eyes. However based on everything he's said I'd say Colin should have at a bare minimum voted against the candidate that was the epitome of everything he supposedly was stranding (actually kneeling) for.

And I'm sure Kaep wouldn't even know how to answer. I don't think he's capable of thinking for himself.

Same.
He wasn't a fan of Hillary either. He's stated as much in the past.

Many states do NOT allow or recognize, by law, a write in that is not registered with the election commission.
Some talking heads were going over this with how Kasich wrote in McCain and was publicizing it. Ohio is one of the states where write-ins must: 1) be registered as official candidates and 2) for the specific office.
So Kasich's vote for president was rejected from all counts. McCain was not registered as a candidate and not registered for presidential runoff. It would not count if McCain was registered but for VP, or dog catcher, even.
So go ahead and take that knee and stick to your write-in argument.

Look. It's the dude that reads partially through a thread and then stops when he finds one person that he agrees with.

Nothing wrong with not voting. But don't preach to America how wrong it is and how you're ashamed of living here and then not use your greatest weapon of change as a citizen. It proves he's a joke. Imagine if your most important issue was BLM and then you find that the guy who jumped to be your spokesman did nothing to fight your struggle when given his most obvious and easy opportunity. Just a joke
