Something that amazed me about this election. That kids, some that are not even old enough to vote, had an empact on this election. They were able to create support for their canidate and propaganda against their opponent and spread it out to millions without ever leaving their homes. Will we ever see a grass roots effort like this again or will this become the norm of every political canidate going forward?

As dumb as it sounds I think that Pepe attack on Hillary's page really set off a lot of those 4chan types.

The internet media battle for this election was

Reddit (minus The_Donald)
Huff Po
NYT
WaPo
Vox
CNN
Tumblr
Facebook
Google
Yahoo
Amazon
Twitter
Apple
MSNBC
and dozens of other sites and groups

Versus

Drudge
Wikileaks
Breitbart
The Chans
r/the_donald
and A few small blogs

How much power concentrated in such a few websites to shake the election.

I was just about to post something about this...

Clinton spent millions on a team of young people who 24/7 would troll online sites "correcting the record" for her campaign.

Trump had hundreds of thousands of shitposting autists at his disposal and they did it at no cost to him. These guys in a decisive and many times humorous manner, took CTR out of the game. It wasn't even a contest.

These guys were passionate and dedicated volunteers who ended up becoming his true grass roots effort. I wonder if, when books are written about this election, they capture any of this.
