It's almost as the Army does all they can to avoid the limelight, because they understand the implications that sort of thing can have on future missions, while also disrespecting the reputation earned by former members, whereas the Navy guys seem much more eager to find a publisher and try to make a buck.
There are over 3,300 book titles mostly biographies currently on Amazon about Army SF

I've never met either or read their stupid books.

Aren't Kyle's exaggerations flat out lies though? Slight difference
The biggest "lie" Kyle was caught in was after he was dead and could have been an honest mistake. In one of his books he claimed some medals he did not get - the issue is the medals (and decorations on the medals) in question were originally on his DD214 and other out processing paper. It could have been he just copied the list without really looking at the list.
It might not have been an active lie but by the time questions arose he was already murdered so now people in some quarters have decided to pile onto a dead hero by calling him a liar, yet many of those same people want to give everyone who thinks like them the benefit of the doubt constantly.

Also it's always been funny to me the difference in the approach SEALs and Army SF take to this type of thing. It's almost as the Army does all they can to avoid the limelight, because they understand the implications that sort of thing can have on future missions, while also disrespecting the reputation earned by former members, whereas the Navy guys seem much more eager to find a publisher and try to make a buck. The problem is, what we've seen with several of these guys, they almost always end up exaggerating their story, which does more to discredit their service than anything else.
Remember that rumor that Army SF units on missions would tell people 'We're Navy SEALs, we're here to get you out!"
When it comes to SEALs & Special Forces, or even Rangers, you can find a large collection of materials from all parties.
I do think that as far as DEVGRU & CAG goes the Army keeps a lid on their activities a bit better from what we've seen. A lot of times when people talk about SEALs and their exposure they're talking about stories about, or coming from, former DEVGRU members. You don't see many Delta guys in the limelight or writing about their experiences. I mean, the entire focus on Delta culturally and in the press (and not ALL of the press limelight DEVGRU has gotten has been their fault) is almost non-existent considering their role in the fight against terrorism.

Like others have said, if half the shite the say is true I still respect the hell out of them
One of the big things on Marcus and the battle was it wasn't 200 men they were up against, but more like 80. Lol lol
Ok so that changes absolutely nothing in my mind. Bottom line- if the USA had more men like the two of them we would be a better place.

Exaggerated his story for his LT to get the MOH.... radio calls from that day don't match his book timeline. Would still have a beer with him and respect a fellow brother in arms though.
