Hate to tell you but a Z pack aint going to do a damn thing for the itch, and the only reason you should be on one is for infection as it is an antibiotic
hopefully you have that confused with a med drol dose pack which is steroids and will knock it on it's arse

Z-pack is antibiotics, you need steroids. A 5-day Medrol dose pack can help, as someone mentioned above, but for bad poison ivy most need a longer course of steroids - up to two weeks and then slowly wean off. With my last attack I took steroids for 5 days and was better, then it rebounded just as bad when I stopped. Had to get back on steroids for full two weeks.
