I really like Coach O and there are a lot of positives he brings when it comes to recruiting, energy, loyalty. The one thing that keeps coming to mind is that he may only be as good as his coordinators on both sides of the ball. Sometimes its tough to keep a top OC and DC as they are looking for the next step. I'm genuinely torn.

Not sometimes...always. Coordinators are where new head coaches generally springboard from and where former head coaches go back to. A head coach must be involved enough to augment both coordinators in times of need.

That is the definition of an elite coach. The ability to put his mark in multiples areas of need within the program (ie recruiting, Xs and Os, administration) to make each year's team consistently competitive.
