You don't just show up a d tryout. It's not 9th grade

um, teams have walk-on tryouts in college for basically all sports

Heso a scholarship football player still in season. He's not "trying out"

Balled with him in the UREC. He's terrible. Utterly bad.
No chance.
No chance.

i don't know. but i'm sure johnny jones would have no problem letting an lsu scholarship athlete try out if he wanted to. however, i doubt there's much truth to this story regardless

You do when you're a D1 formerly starting, current back-up quarterback.

He would literally throw the ball away due to a high pass or break every bone on his teammates hands due to lack of touch.
does it make you feel good to hate on a kid who has done nothing but try to be a good football player for LSU?

damn he must love sitting the bench...

There is a big difference between hating and just stating the facts. Sorry if that hurt your feelings bro!

One word suggestion for him: NASCAR

Three word suggestion for him: get his degree.

They dont just post a flyer on the bulletin board. You have to know people to even find out when the "tryout". 98% of these guys are preferred walk-ons that get recommended by high school coaches ala Henry Shortess.

This is exactly my reaction. If we are rooting for LSU Tigers, why do we make fun of our own athlete(s)?

I dunked on him at the UREC. For the amount of beer I drink and still able to do that to him, he would have no chance.

Maybe the average LSU student couldn't just show up and tryout...but I'm pretty sure Brandon Harris would have necessary contacts within the athletic department to arrange for a basketball tryout as long as Coach O was OK with it.
