I'm riding with Coach O

Coach O has completely turned the program around in one month.
We may have likely been 3-0 during the same stretch under miles but it would have been painful and ugly and we'd be dead in the water against bama with his numbing philosphy
against ole miss we would have tried to run 90% of the time on their poor run D. knowing that, Ole miss would have sold out to stop the run and because of an numbers game, would have slowed the running attack down and it would have been a 4th quarter battle/toss up like 3/4's of every SEC game for the past 5 years
O knows how to utilize the talent and can sure as hell recruit it. we have a great D coordinator. A few CEO type adjustments with the staff in the offseason is all the program will need. He is on a live audition which gives him a decided advantage. Keep the steam engine churning.........
forget bringing some hotshot outsider.
Texas HAD TO HAVE Charlie Strong
USC HAD TO HAVE Steve Sarkesian
Florida jizzed in their jorts when they hired Muschamp
and that is just 3 examples of many
the program is ascending. anyone who pays attention can see this
O is the man for the job. I'm convinced.
Keep Jimbo and Tom far away from this program.

Think it's worth mentioning the stand up job ensminger is doing as well. I've been very impressed.

Or maybe the program has always been capable, but was hampered by the head coach.

Terrible mindset. When you are a multi-million dollar operation like LSU, you do your due diligence and interview top available candidates.

How about three more? Alabama hired Saban. Ohio State hired Urban Meyer. Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh.

So bring up two games Herman lost and entirely ignore Orgeron's history as HC.

The entire SEC rejoices.

Did they move kragthorpe to the booth as well?
Posted on 10/25/16 at 11:56 am to pellietigersaint
It's just crazy because it's not like O and Ensminger came in and overhauled the offense. We're running plays that have been in the playbook for years.

If coach O finishes with a successful season and is not retained, LSU will not be relevant for another decade and we will go through atleast 2 more coaches

Truth! Ensminger has been calling amazing place and it looks like Coach O has just let him do his thing and not interfered

People fail to acknowledge that at Ole Piss he had to build a program - here he just needs to maintain the program, which I believe he can do well.

Sigh.
Lets flash back to this time 1 year ago. LSU is 7-0 headed into the pre-Bama bye week. The team had just come off a 3 game stretch that consisted of a bad SEC team in South Carolina, A good SEC team in Florida and a CUSA team W. Kentucky.
USC- 624 yards of offense
FLA- 423 yards of offense
WKU- 497 yards of offense
2016, LSU has just come off a 3 game stretch that consisted of a bad SEC team, a not-good SEC team in Ole miss and a CUSA team S. Miss.
Mizzou- 634 yards of offense
USM- 459 yards of offense
Ole Miss- 515 yards of offense

You are very easily impressed. Simple if you will. You will be screaming to fire him in 2 years.

Like in his Hummer? Ya'll going to pick up more Red Bull or what?

thanks for making my point

I agree. Do they get a live audition too?

so between our 6 examples, we have a 50/50 shot at success?
right now we have sample size (though small) that indicates not only success, but drastic improvement with talent utilization that has been sorely lacking

IDGAF what O did in the past. People grow in their professions. I'm basing this off of right now
I do GAF about having a "supposed" ktop 10 program and losing to not one, but TWO shitty teams. again basing it on the here and now. They will likely lose to L'ville in the next few weeks, but there is no shame in that
you got any reason why you think coach O isnt fit for the gig? or do you just like shiny new things?

Would probably have been considered a positiger thoughout Miles career. I'm actualy kinda looking forward to being a negatiger if Coach O is not retained. Getting to be highly critical of whatever flavor of the month coach is hired and bashing him after an L will be extremely gratifying

People also fail to acknowledge that he has a completely different coaching philosophy now as compared to his time at Ole Miss. He has recognized and admitted to his faults and vowed to change them. Unlike Miles, Orgeron has actually shown that he is willing to change his philosophy. Everyone likes to focus on his horrible record at Ole Miss but fail to acknowledge that his record as an acting head coach since then is now 9-2

I agree with this. Be careful what you wish for. some of you are chasing a fairy tale

I have seen some dumb stuff on TD since the Miles firing. This may be the dumbest. You have absolutely no way to know this, yet you make absolute statements. Best way to sound like an idiot.
