How do you get a deer out of public land if you are 2 miles deep in the woods? Thats the one thing keeping me from doing it. If I kill a 200lb deer there is no way I could drag that 200 yards through the woods much less 2 miles.
Is it legal to quarter it up in the woods to bring the meat out?

like a fricking man
last year me and a buddy doubled with 2 bucks, both weighing >200 lbs
it took us 3-4 hours to get both of those deer to the truck

A cart. Its a bitch. Gotta take your time and go around cypress knees because the axle will get caught on them. Helps to have someone with you walking in front to find the best way and kick the bigger limbs out of the way. Late season when the woods flood and you're pulling that cart through the mud and water, you really start to ask yourself why you like hunting so much.
