You are absolutely missinformed. I actually exchanged emails with the director of Big Cats in Indiana at the time Roscoe/Mike arrived at LSU about that very question. Why not have two Tigers in a facility that elaborate and that size as the habitat. My wife was all upset that he was going to be by himself in that big of a space and thought he should have a friend. So I emailed the director at that time.
His exact answer (I remember it like it was yesterday). Male Tigers are solitary animals. They do not crave companionship like humans. It is not an emotion they possess. The addition or introduction of another Tiger into the habitat causes both to stress out and worry about the other one as a threat. Why don't you do a little research before making a typical liberal extremist emotional statement that shows you have no idea what your talking about.

This is seriously awesome to know. I'm a woman -- In my mind we ALL need friends/companions and in my mind, I've asked the same question your wife did. So thanks for the info.
