I listened, on the radio, to the Billy Cannon punt return that beat Bama
Wow.
Say, do you remember when the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor?

Welcome! We're bipolar and crazy, but we are certainly entertaining!
You picked a good week to venture over. Florida hate week! If anybody knows how to hate Florida it will be a Florida State fan.

Welcome aboard - I was at the LSU v Ol Miss game in '59 = Halloween Billy Cannon punt return.
Back then, we didn't care about Alabama. Ol Miss was our favorite "love to hate" team. I still remember the reverberation of "GO TO HELL OL MISS - GO TO HELL" that you could hear all across the campus when the Ol Miss team arrived at Tiger Stadium. It was thunderous.
I think Bear Bryant was still at A&M at that time.
But you daddy taught you well. Never root for Alabama or Notre Dame. If he had included Oklahoma in there it would have been perfect.
Welcome aboard!!!!

We beat everyone in '58. Bama just was not a 'big deal' back then - nowhere near the hype for Ol Miss. Not even on the radar of what students were excited about.

Keep losing, but keep jimbo away from here. You guys are idiots. He is 3-3 over his last six games with a 40 and 50 point loss against teams with less talent.

Just stating that Bear was at Bama, not A&M.
I also like typing that we beat Da Bear.
You're right about OM. They were our hated rivals. Go to Hell Ole Miss, Go to Hell.

Ole Miss maybe?
Yeah, I'm an idiot. As soon as I hit "submit" I said, "Wait, it was Ole Miss, wasn't it?"
In my defense, I'm old. That was a long time ago. And, my hatred for Bama makes the story sweeter in my mind.
At least I remembered it was Billy Cannon and not Jerry Stovall.

You must be about my age. Remember when there was no McDonalds? And when their burgers were 15 cents.
Remember when tv first came out and it was black and white? And when color tv started broadcasting?
Remember when Eisenhower first proposed the Interstate Highway system? It took forever to drive long distances.
My father bought a new Chevy pickup for $1,800. They came without heaters and rear bumpers.
I got a '68 Mustang new for $3,400.
Gas was under 25 cents a gallon.
And there was no social media!

They eventually put a Burger King at that intersection.
