A name not being thrown around yet but I think he would be a good selection.

I haven't heard Chris Peterson's name thrown around yet, but damn it he would be a good one. Offensive minded coach, runs a clean program extremely successful at Boise St and now has picked up a U-Dub program from off the matt and made them a contender in the Pac-12 but also has his teams play solid defense.
I really like the name except for the fact that he has no recruiting ties at all to the SEC, but if you keep BeBe on and Peveto as a recruiting guy with a little coaching responsibilities as possible that will help with Peterson's lack of recruiting depth in the SEC.
I would take Peterson over Fedora more impressive HC resume and I think he would be a beast here at LSU if we can't land a Herman or Fisher.

Several reasons his name hasn't been thrown around.

Because he's not leaving the northwest. He has family needs in the area.

Has a child with health issues, goes to doctors up there.

He'd be awful for LSU. He's spent his entire career in the Midwest/west coast. Coming to the south would be a total culture difference.
Think about Trent Johnson coming from Stanford to LSU. The guy couldn't relate.

Thanks corrected it, was looking at a Meyer thread prior to writing and had Meyer on the brain.

I agree it wouldn't be seamless, but he seems to be an extremely competent and successful coach, he is an offensive minded coach but he has strong defenses also. I think it is worth talking with him. Hell if Kingsbury's name is being bantered around with the fact that he doesn't even understand he has to field a defense even if he doesn't want to, the powers at be should at least talk with him and gauge his interest.

His son is perfectly fine now. Hasn't had issues for 5+ years.
That being said, he's a west coast guy. I have a hard time seeing him outside of the PNW.

1. He didn't pick Washington up off the mat.
2. He's at his dream job.
3. He's a NW guy.
4. His kid's doctors are all up there.
5. Not happening.

Any coaching responsibility for BDP is too much responsibility.

If you haven't seen Peterson's brought up yet, then you haven't been paying attention. I didn't know dick about this dude. Now I know that he has a sick kid who's in the care of UW doctors.
