2. We have the 2nd highest recruiting ranking average in the last 3 years.
Recruiting ranking doesn't mean these players will perform well. It is a prediction. How many five star players have bombed and how many low ranking recruits have burned it up?
The "great" receiver corps drops a lot of passes. That is just one example.
Grade your overall talent on how they have been performing, and at 2-2, it is not that great (even with the coaching issues).

your logic sucks. 5 star prospects easily have more success at college and the next level. there just arent as many of them.
give me all the 5 stars every year and i will bend over your team of 3 stars every time

They didn't exactly bend over Auburn. It may be that whatever excellent talent LSU has can't compensate for the talent gap on the OL.

who was coaching those players?
there you go

You can't blame it all on coaching. If this team was as talented as you say they are, they would beat up team like Auburn, bad coaching or not.

Is this thread serious? It's not just LSU fans that think LSU is an extremely talented team.

Are we just magically putting the most players in the nfl and the recruiting services just happening to rate our guys much higher than what they really are?
No.
I am not blaming it all on the coaching, but it does start there.

Talent everywhere but OL where we are getting dominated, resulting in the piss-poor offensive performances
As an offensive lineman when your technique & fundementals are shite, it doesn't matter your talent level, you will look like shite. When your head coach is a former lineman & line coach, it says a lot. The line is no different from any other offensive grouping right now. Poorly coached & mass confusion everywhere.

they're not. This is the most talent LSU has had on one team, probably ever. You'll see in 5 years

Unquestionably loaded on talent. That's not up for debate. Just further eliminates the complete embarrassing coaching job that has been done.

I've said this all season. We are not very good. Yes that reflects on miles. But a different coach would do much better with the current players

Yea can we revisit this thread in 5 years when theres about 20 people on the 53 man rosters in the nfl? Maybe more

shite coaching will do that to even a talented team.

I agree with you. I don't think this team lacks a high level of talent (except on the O line), but it doesn't have this "best talent ever" that the fan base seems to think it has.

Notre Dame has a lot of NFL players on the rosters - not exactly racking up NC's the last few years.
Auburn, California and Penn State have a lot of NFL players.

so then miles is a poor talent evaluator? Either way the loss is his responsibility.
why you pick a fight man? the OP didn't challenge anything about Miles. it's a foregone conclusion that we will be in the market for a new HC. he's commenting on the talent.
my opinion is that our talent on the OL and WR are overrated. not to mention QB of course.
Posted on 9/25/16 at 2:47 pm to chinhoyang
We have future NFL players at every position except QB. No one on here is saying each position is the best ever, but this is easily one of the most talented teams you have ever seen at LSU. Might be the most talented from top to bottom. Top being LF7, not Miles

Most players in the NFL is no guide
In 3 years these players will contribute to "the most players in the NFL", just like past underachieving teams from 2012-2015 are contributing heavily to the current most players in the NFL.
Are the teams we lost to and will lose to this year more talented even though less of their players are good enough to play on Sundays?

LSU will have upwards of 10 players drafted this year. Watch
