Finally went out to Theodore at the old Jimmy Lowe's fruit stand now named Lil Brian's Produce Market off Hwy 90 and here is what I ended up buying:
Medium Eggs 3 DOZEN for $1.00
Small juice oranges 5 for $1.00
Large Navel Oranges 2 for $1.00
Broccoli bunches .79 cents
Sweet Potatoes 10lb bag $2.99
Bananas 25 cents a pound
Vidalia Onions 69 cents pound
Yellow Onions 39 cents a pound
Cucumbers 4 for $1.00
Strawberries 2 for $3.00
Conecuh Sausage 3 for $10.00
Large Cantaloupes 2 for $3.00
Spend $20 get a free mum
Bartlett Pears 4 for $1.00
Rouses, Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie, and Whole Foods can kiss my freakin a$$ with their super inflated prices. How are the prices on produce where you are at?

Produce in a grocery store is convenient hence the higher prices. I don't mind paying more so I don't have to make another stop at the produce stand. If I have the time I'd rather get produce at southside. But often they don't have what I need and I have to go to the grocery anyway.

Is that right outside Raceland?

OP sounds like you found a good place to do your shopping. I like to buy organic when I can, but would definitely take advantage of some of those prices.

Grow a tree
This. I have several clients who have more citrus than they know what to do with. Lemon tree, Lime tree, Orange tree, Grapefuit trees all producing hundreds upon hundreds of fruit. These people cant possibly give it all away.
They give me more than we can consume.
I support this local home grown effort, but it looks to be too far away for me. We have planted a few citrus trees in our back yard, but they are a long way from producing.

They are cheaper because they are typically seconds.
