I love how a month old thread keeps bumping to the top. If you dont watch the NFL, why keep talking about it?

Maybe because football fans want it to be better than it currently is?
There was no Saints game today, so I watched most of UGA vs USCe. It wasn't a great game, but it was a hell of a lot more entertaining than what I saw of the Bears-Colts game.
That might just be me, but the NFL is fricking boring most of the time.

Just turned MNF off, this is why;
1 Play, timeout
Commercial
Come back, 1 play, hurt player
Commercial
1 Play, bad call, coach challenge
Commercial
Can't take it

I have boycotted the NFL for the scheduling of rv timeouts and how political they allow the players to be. If I did that kind of thing I my work place I would have a good talking to.

College football is way worse.
There's a set # of commercials per half. The more they do after TDs, the less at the end of the halves

You are correct. Yet he is praised.

It's pretty easy to avoid all that nonsense.

Cuz that's what the media is good for...driving that wedge

ESPN's 6.5 overnight for Buccaneers-Panthers last night is network's lowest Week 5 "MNF" rating since acquiring rights prior to 2006 season

Monday night football is broken right now.
It needs to be fixed.
I can't really pin point the exact problem, but it just seems off this year.

If you did what exactly?
You'd get fired for taking a knee during the national anthem? Do you work at a place that plays the NA once a week before a big team project kicks off?

Haha you are not very involved in your work places day to day operations are you? Anyways i work at a place that respects our country. When we go to events, conferences, or ball games for business, if I disrespected the flag like that I would be let go.

Just heard on Fox Sports Radio that they had their TV research guys calculate the college football ratings so far this season and... They are actually UP 1% in to al...and NFL ratings are down across the broad 15-20%.
I think people, me included, are getting their football fix from college and finding out that you really don't HAVE to watch NFL games on Sunday and you really don't miss it when it's gone.

Even before this year I got tired of all the hype driven by all the media leeches who wouldn't be employed if they didn't make every week seem of epic implications and they are leftist as shite when they have the opportunity even before this year because they so much want to be like the "real" media. The whole "nobody else can say the words 'Super Bowl'" in an ad really drove home the money grubbing aspect that is also tiresome.

ESPN will probably think it has something to do with the broadcast team when in reality it has everything to do with the product on the field.
The NFL has simply turned stale.
The MNF problems, IMO, are from a combination of craptastic match ups and an oversaturated audience. Between a great line up of college games thus far in 2016, and a full day of NFL games on Sunday, staying up until 11 to watch Derek Anderson throw INTs sounds abysmal.

I think MNF in particular often just has terrible games and also suffers from an overly manufactured approach. It doesn't seem like the football is the main dish. All of the garnish is fine but it shouldn't distract from why you turned on the television.
Basketball (NBA) does it better. Every play you are constantly aware of how special the athleticism is and the game is more interesting as a result.

Personally? Because I bought a batch of Memberberries and all I can think about are the good times.
Oh, and Roger Goodell is a bitch.
