I feel sorry for any NFL Players that don't stand for the Anthem today

I won't mention any names because they don't deserve the attention, and yes it's their right but today is not the day to protest for your cause.
Today is a day to honor and remember our fellow Americans.

Isn't an entire team planning to do it? Seems like a bad day for that "protest".

I don't feel sorry for fricking morons.

I'll never watch another NFL game again, so it won't bother me one way or another.

If that's true then the NFL will come under some serious scrutiny. It will not end well for them or the team that does so.

Whatever helps them take their mind off the over 500 murders in Chicago this year and an abortion rate of over 50%.

If they sit today they might as well be waving a flag that says, "Go Terrorists."

Has anyone considered that kneeling during the anthom isn't necessarily disrespectful?
Humans kneel before God to show respect. We kneel before kings and queens to show respect. We kneel when we ask for a woman's hand in marriage to show respect.
Kneeling is a form of deep respect.
Perhaps we're making a bigger issue out of this than is necessary. I don't think this is the first time players have kneeled during the national anthom. In fact, players routinely kneel during the anthom just because they're resting before the game starts.
The attention we're giving them is the problem. We're the reason everyone is talking about it because we simply won't ignore their stupidity. They are winning because we choose to lose.

I'm done with the NFL. They have shown their true colors and I won't support them. Plenty will I'm sure but I won't be one if them

I'm taking kneeling as a sign of distress. It's better than sitting (contempt), turning one's back (rejection) or raising a fist (defiance). It's not the proper way to show respect, but I can live with kneeling.

It's not a protest, it's attention whoring.

I feel the same way. Kneeling is respectful. They should sit to show disrespect.

I don't care if they stand on their fricking heads, its disrespectful

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

Seattle was going to - but they said they will all stand and interlock their arms. I think they realized what today was and this would not have gone over well

I stopped watching all NFL BS since this started...actually a little before due to all the PC crap. If it changes, I'll watch again.
Frick everyone that sits or does anything other than honor our country's flag and anthem.

I think that is Seattle. But I don't think they play till Monday. And they're supposedly honking the flag in some way

Once again, why can't we just ignore his idiocy? CK has the American right to an unpopular opinion. Everyone else has the right to criticize him. But our criticism is granting him what he truly desires - media attention. Therefore, we the American people are the losers.
If we'd just ignore him he would eventually go away.
But we don't learn from past mistakes. This is Mizzou 2015 all over again. White coaches and players are scared of appearing racist if they don't support this retarded movement, so they'll lock arms with their extremely racist black players and act as if it's a display of unity.
It's a farce based on a series of well calculated lies. We are stupid enough to play their game (a game they created)...and of course we're losing.

Screw the NFL - done with that league.

500+ in Chicago alone - which has little or nothing to do with "oppression."
