Russillo and Kannell - Les Interview

So pumped to start the season and still am. They just interviewed Les and asked about the offense. He said something along the lines of "we are going to do what's been successful in the past" and "the playbook has always been very open". I just hope we can come close to our 2013 offense...if not it will be a 10-2 type season.

...it's all about execution.

I was thinking more of the same from Bama and Arkansas games lol, hopefully we change some stuff up

A lot of the players have been talking bout changes in the offense since the Spring & throughout summer & Fall workouts. What's more believable, the players or comments made in coach speak on national tv? As an aside, Russillo must have had a hell of a lot of good times in B.R. as he's been bragging on the LSU/bama game atmosphere going on 4 yrs now, more so today.

He and SVP both love LSU/BR. They've talked about it for years now.

This is my shocked face.
Anyone who thought wholesale changes are coming is kidding themselves.
If nearly getting fired doesn't get you to change the offense, nothing will.

Today they held the Auction so it was a Baton Rouge centric show

His offensive philosophy is good enough to win at least 9 games a season and 75% of all games. That keeps him employed. He's not changing that for the 2 or 3 teams we play a year who can stop our run game. Why would he? He doesn't get fired winning 9 games a season and he doesn't get fired for losing to alabama every year. He has zero incentive to change anything.

9-3 with a loss to Bama this year and it's a coin toss if he is retained.
I agree I don't see big changes but I think it will be enough if Harris can execute.

Even that 2013 offense underachieved. Mett, OBJ and Jarvis bailed them out on so many 3rd and longs it was obsurd.
Nothing will change.

If he goes 9-3 (maybe 10-2) and loses to Bama this year, he's loooong gone. So your point is kinda stupid.

If you think Miles' only incentive is to do just enough to not get fired, you're retarded. The man is competitive as hell. We may disagree with his approach at times, but to insinuate he's phoning it in is absurd. He wants to win championships, I promise you.
I don't think there's gonna be a ton of changes on offense this year myself. I think Les probably thinks we have Fournette, the defense, and special teams to win playing how he likes to. I think we'll add a bit, but I'd expect to see a more substantial change for the '17 offense.

I thought we were still interested in winning our conference every now and then. Guess not.
