If the people at the dealership do things the right way, I do not begrudge them their pay. I would not want to work until 7pm AND Saturdays. If they have it so good you might want to consider a career change? I can assure you, working and meeting a sales quota is a Bitch. (Not a car salesman and none in family). $100k is not that great in today's world.

Nobody cares that the dealership makes money...it's the common practices used to make the money that is the issue.
If you haven't been around the car business a lot, you won't understand what all is done to most customers when they go to a dealership. Everything is designed to make it as easy as possible to get as much money as possible from every customer.
I have no problem with the small number of dealerships that do it the right way; however, I have not really found one that does everything on the up and up.
So, where is this unicorn that doesn't leave finance leg room in their pencil (effectively called packing), discloses the buy rate, doesn't use the term to sneakily change the monthly payment, won't sell a warranty from a shìtty warranty company bc the profit on the factory warranty isn't enough, etc.
