I do 98% of the cooking here at the house. We entertain often and I always do Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years meal for both sides of our family. One electric cooktop that I despise and one wall oven. I would LOVE to have another one.

I always want a double around holidays. My remodel or my next house will have a double.

We have a gas range with gas oven and a ge advantium speed oven. It's 27" so the width of a small full size oven. We bake and roast in it regularly.
It's a phenomenal combination.
For my next kitchen I'm considering a 48" range and a wall speed oven combo.

We are a family of 4 who cook a bunch. We have a double oven and I can count on 1 hand how many times I've used both in the 5 years I've had them. Only have used randomly during holidays and parties.
Not us, we use the crap out of that thing. When all the family is together, we use our 2 and the ones at grandpas house next door plus the grill as an oven. IMO you can never have too many ovens.

We cook for the family (4 of us) about 5-6 days a week. We've been fine with the one oven, and even that is a small 24 inch. I replaced the one that must have been original to the house when we moved in 9 years ago. The only time I remember wishing I had a double oven was when we had like 15 people over to watch a football game and were cooking a bunch of stuff. Just not a lot of space for more than 2 things in there. I normally would have cooked something on the grill but it was a National Championship game on a Monday night and I had to work that day.

My double oven is a necessity in my house
We use both ovens almost daily

The largest parties I have thrown are in the 50-60 range. I did fine with one oven. Made some items the night before and reheated.
I didn't even have to use the microwave or the outdoor BBQ pit. It just takes organization and preparation.

We have a 36" range and never have needed a double oven. If I need more space for baking, we have a Breville toaster/convection oven that will fit half a hotel pan in the butler's pantry and a green egg (and BWS) outside.

We use our Breville daily. Hardly ever turn on the range oven.
