Worst Airport experiences

For me it has to be the white plains, NY (westchester county). The security was gruff, no restaurants and the flight attendants reprimanded me for taking too long to put my bag in the overhead compartment. Not to mention, someone took a massive bowel movement and stopped up the toilet in the concourse. The custodian didn't even clean it up!

Laredo, Texas. All passengers go through border patrol in addition to TSA. Airport is so small terminal is only opened 30 minutes before flights. Hardly any English speakers.

Pulled out of line on a flight from Seattle to L.A. by a group of police and air marshals. Taken to an interrogation room, questioned about my travel plans, carry on luggage searched.
Why?
Because I fit the profile of a high jacker, which was a big deal back in 1970:
• White male
• College age
• Traveling alone
• Purchased one-way ticket with cash (yes, you could do that back in those days)
After marching me back to the line of 150 passengers, they allowed me to board the plane.
Not coincidentally, I had the entire isle to myself.
And the kilo of weed I carried in my checked luggage was unmolested, thank you.

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Boarding the plane was like a rugby scrum. Those people have no concept of forming a line.

MSP isn't terrible except for that one concourse (can't remember D or maybe F) that has freaking ipad table thingies everywhere, bars, and concession junk all garbled in where people are trying to board/arrive/talk to agents. nightmare.
any place RyanAir flies.

DFW- I was wearing Multicam arriving back from Afghanistan waiting to connect on another flight. I was sitting alone minding my own business when this 5 year old comes up to me and starts staring, which is no big deal. The mom quickly rushes over and grabs her kid and shuns him away from me like I'm some freak of nature and gives me a dirty look.

Nantucket Airport by far.
TSA just decides to take breaks at times.
And once your plane gets cancelled late in the evening your screwed, very few hotels out there (for less than $500/night) and the airport closes.

Flew in from Warsaw to O'hare and the computers in customs were down. Since I'm an American citizen i was able to skip everyone but all of the tourists had been stuck there for hours. Felt terrible for them.

TSA made me open all sealed baby formula which was good for an hour. Flight was cancelled, was in the airport for 8 hours. Not knowing when we could get on another flight, could not go get formula and none sold in the airport. Staff would no help. Pack dry formula, now I know.
Fun times.

We need to re-distribute some of that wealth. Its unfair that you get the luxury and we have to suffer.

White Plains ise a dream compared to Newark. That place is the worst, followed by San Francisco. Worst 2 for me.
