I think the moment they lost me for good was with Gilley. I didn't know what the hell was so funny about that character, yet they kept bringing her back, so I just chalked it up to "I guess I'm officially too old to be watching this show anymore", lol...
I dunno, I have nothing against many of the new-ish cast members when I see them in movies, but for whatever reason, they just didn't click with me when they were on SNL...

Because the show lacks decent writers. In the past, the talent also seemed to be decent writers, but that's not the case anymore. Name the last good movie a cast member from post-2000 has had any major part in writing.
