I remember about two years ago the talking heads were claiming this dude was the next great one. Now I see the sumbitch is gonna be sent to AAA.
Seems like he's just another Jeff Francoeur. Can some of you baseball guys tell me what happened to Puig?

He has huge holes in his swing and a massive attitude problem.

Never adjusted to major league pitching.
Attitude issues and lots of stories about other players disliking him
Supposedly never worked super hard either

He's 42 years old IRL

He did. They just adjusted right back

He also gets hurt a lot with his reckless style of play. I think that's hampered his development a bit.

Love the dudes that say he's lazy. The man got in a raft and came to the states and made millions. He doesn't give a shite anymore. Doesn't need too.

Working hard would have allowed him to make hundreds of millions rather than the initial 42 from the Dodgers. He's set for life but he could have been so much more

pitchers have adjusted to him. people are trying to act like the dudes career is done but hes 25 years old and still has every single tool. problem is he hasnt been able to stay healthy these past two seasons with hamstring issues
he may need a change in scenery, but someone is going to take a chance on him and if he can start catching up to fastballs again you are going to see the player he was in 2013 and 2014

Of course, but when you grow up the way he did and went through everything he did to get to that $42MM, you're set. Some will call that lazy, but I'd say he achieved his goal.

that's all it takes to flush a career.

His attitude and complacency.

a few years ago the media was telling us that Puig and Colin Kaepernick were the new breed of superstar. Does anyone else remember that shite?

Puig's career trajectory reminds me a lot of Gary Sheffield. He's an incredible talent but he'll probably end up playing for seven or eight teams due to his attitude problems just like Sheffield did.

Puig has awful pitch recognition and selectivity

I'll never forget watching a game a couple of years ago where he hit one in the game with bases juiced. Adrian Gonzalez was the runner in front of him, so slow as frick. Adrian didn't go home and Puig threw a fit on second because he wanted the triple.
After the inning ended, Adrian grabbed his arse in the dugout and let him have it. At that moment I began to hate Puig.

Doesn't this work against the complaint of laziness though?
