I went to the one where everyone writes all over the walls/tables/chairs, and best or not it was fricking delicious

I've tried UNO, Giordano's and Lou Malnati's. I liked Lou Malnati's the most.

Ate there recently... It was good, but nothing special to me. I think I would feel that way about any deep dish place though.

Lou Malnati's with the butter crust. Also, their regular crust pizza is damn strong.

Yes, that is Gino's. Ate there last week and it is legit.

I ate at Geno's east back in the 80's and nothing special except meeting and talking to john madden c pat sumerall , sandy oh hell I cant think of his last name and the rest of the crew. Talked for like 2 or 21/2 hours with the guys and truly great time and memory in my life.

I enjoyed Lou Malnati's when I went back in May.

Another vote for Gino's East. Best pizza I've ever had

I'lll add in another chime for Lou Malnati's - and you want to order one with a butter crust like the Chicago Classic.
Pequod's is also solid. The pro tip is to order a sausage pie with extra cheese and and extra sauce.

pequods is different than the other places with their burnt crust. it is tasty.
for thin crust, i like Aurelio's it uses sweet sauce and rich cheese.
ginos, lou malnatis and Uno's/Due's are all pretty similar.
there is a place in the northern burbs called Piero's I think is pretty delicious, you could, in theory, stop on the way to wisconsin but probably makes more sense to go somewhere in city.

Everybody's tastes are slightly different. Go with any of the staples (Geno's East/Lou's/Giordano's/Pequods/Uno's). It's impossible to say which one you would like the most. I'd choose one based on proximity, convenience, and wait times.
Local hint- There's a Pizzeria Uno and Pizzeria Due pretty close to each other. They are exactly the same, same ownership, same menu. They opened another one for overflow customers. Most tourists flock to Uno based on name recognition. Due usually has much shorter wait times.
