Any Netflix Recommendations?

My Direct TV is out until next Weds. They have to reset the dish. Anyway, I'm rewatching Game of Thrones right now, but looking for other suggestions. I wish Battle Star Galatica was an option. Already saw Making of a Murderer and the Kurt Russell baseball movie. Anything else?

A lot of the Netflix originals are good. House of Cards first. Marco Polo is really good (though divisive). Wet Hot American Summer, Bojack Horseman, Master of None for comedies.

Whats the deal with Marco Polo?. I'm a history fan so this intrigues me.

I'm not a history buff, but I did listen to the Dan Carlin Hardcore History series on the Mongols. There's obviously liberties taken, but there is an aspect of truthiness to the series. Watch one or two episodes and that will give you an idea of what the series is like.

The Last Kingdom ... didn't know about it till someone posted a thread about it last week ... 8 episodes ... about the resistance of the seven kingdoms of england against the vikings/danes and the subsequent unification of england ...

Bloodlines...kinda slow but good.

It's really good, but don't critique it for historic accuracies. Marco is a beautiful show with some written historical events, some based on legend, but more importantly the locations and period portrayal are off the charts.
I suggest The Last Kingdom as well, and try out several foreign films, several quality ones available

The detectorists. Great britcom and not many episodes. My favorite current comedy.

so many movies/shows I could recommend, but I'll go with the last thing I watched...
like a punch to the gut.

I finished Peaky Blinders last night. Probably one of the best series I've watched.

I think Peaky Blinders is the clear winner. Let us know what you pick

Peaky Blinders it is. Normally, I abhor the gangster and organized crime films. This one intrigues me. I think its due to the time period and setting since I'm not familiar with it. Also, the mix of WWI stuff adds to the interest. The music is awesome and some of the shots have been amazing. I really like the lead in this series.

The time period is awesome. It's pretty cool to see them go from horse drawn carriage and candle light in the very beginning to having multiple cars and electricity later. Plus the 20's was just an awesome and fascinating time in our history.

Black Mirror if you feel like having your mind blown.

Another great choice.
I love period pieces and the main actors involved, but I thought Peaky Blinders was just "solid." I'll give it another shot eventually, but I stopped mid S2. Again, it certainly wasn't bad. I just got drawn into something better at the time (don't remember what).
