I can tell you one thing I'm certain of--that "plot leak" is COMPLETE bullshite. Straight up they didn't even try to come up with something that seemed believable
The one last year smelled like BS to me to but it was at least layered enough and built well enough that it made sense as a possibility

He is still her cousin and he views her as a sister. I dont think either of them are into the incestual relationship, especially since their father/uncle found incest appalling and unnatural. It just screams "non-Stark" to me.
Tywin married his cousin. Cousin marriages were also very common during the Middle Ages. Hell, Edgar Allen Poe married his first cousin, and that was less than two centuries ago and wasn't seen as weird.
But Sansa and Jon's relationship, I can see it. I think Sansa distanced herself from Jon as much as possible and never truly got to know him unlike her other siblings. She just took her mother's word for how Jon really was as a person. Relatives who don't really know each other has been shown to produce hyper attraction for one another once they do.
Also in the original outline, Arya and Jon were supposed to end up together. I don't think that will happen though, since they very clearly think of themselves as siblings. I also think Arya's arc is one of tragedy, not ending up with Jon.
And Ned wouldn't think that about cousin marriages. His parents were first cousins once removed. It was a different time.

I'm firmly in Jon and Sansa camp. If you've haven't read much on it, it makes a lot of sense and just seems more natural.
Both scenarios are kinda gross, but at least Jon and Dany didn't grow up thinking they were brother and sister. I think Jon will survive, and knowing GRRM's cucky predilections toward feminism, I doubt that a man will stand alone at the end and rule the kingdom. This is why I think it will be Jon and Dany. Their union will unite the greatest powers in Westeros, so it's a necessary pairing. Sansa will remain as the Lady of Winterfell, but I'm really not sure who would be a suitable husband for her. Maybe she makes peace with the ugly but charming Tyrion.

they werent close, ill give you that. but then whats happening right now? are they thinking "damn i wish i could bang this person but alas we are siblings." then all of a sudden Jon learns the truth and jumps into bed with Sansa?
there hasnt been anything up to this point in the show to point to their relationship being a romantic one. they talk and act like siblings. i dont see the truth about Jons birth lighting some kind of fire between them.

So for those of you who are anti Jonsa, who do you expect him to marry then?
I don't know if he actually marries anyone. I'll go out on a limb and say he'll agree to a marriage with Dany, they end up having sex which gets her pregnant, Jon ends up being the one that dies while saving everyone, and Dany ends up ruling with her heir in tow. Now whether or not they actually take time to get married before the final war, I don't know. But I think they end up together, for a little while at least.

Well, no, but I'd say a very significant proportion of relationships in real life don't start that way either. They talk for a little while, become attracted to one another, and then fall in love. Not all relationships begin with a mutual thought "I want to bang that person".

Do they really? Can't really name much that if I didn't know they were related that I wouldn't just call them acquaintances who fell on hard times and then relied on each other when shite hit the fan.

Didn't read anything before the 13th page but does anyone think Jon marries Daenerys? She needs a king and they're blood related and that's common in the Targaryns.
Posted on 10/25/16 at 9:57 pm to Rossberg02
I think she'll tell Jon she needs to marry him and he'll agree. I just don't see it happening, one of them will die before they have a chance to marry

Plus the title of Song of Fire and Ice makes it seem a possibility

The Alt Shift X video about Jon & Sansa is very good & explains it rationally.
I honestly didn't think about them getting together until several of my friends told me about it about halfway through S6. I then realized that I was all aboard the Jon & Sansa train . Plus it helps that Sophie & Kit play off of each other well on screen that I think they came off as having better chemistry than Jon with Ygritte at times.
I could see it being a political marriage that grows into love like Cat and Ned.

I could be wrong but I think Dany will die in S8. I think Jon will survive the series.
If any of the S7 leak is accurate, then I think the show is setting Dany up to die in the final battle. And with GRRM's bittersweet ending it would be too damn cheesy to have Jon and Dany have some Aragorn & Arwen crap going on. I know the show is different but I would be pissed if D & D made Jon & Dany have a fairytale romance.
If anything Jon having a political, dutiful marriage to Sansa that turns into love over time would be more realistic.
I could picture Jon and Dany having sex/a one time fling out of desperation/sexual need rather than a full on romance. With Winter being here, I don't think they'll have time to be all that romantic. At least I hope not.

Jon and Sansa barely even seem to like each other. If Littlefinger turns Sansa, she may be the one who ends up dying.

I don't see what either of them gain by a "dutiful political" marriage between Jon and Sansa. As far as the North is concerned, they are brother and sister. Jon's power at the moment rests largely with the assumption that he is Ned's son and true-ish heir. And the North would not accept a brother/sister marriage as legitimate.
Some posters are getting ahead of themselves with the "cousin" thing; only the viewers know the truth. Old Howlin' Reed might know, but we have no reason to think he's a factor at this point.
The whole Jon + Sansa thing is a weird fantasy invented by the kind of people who write erotic fan fiction.

Yet Jon and Dany aren't a fan fiction-esque couple?

It makes more sense from a political stand point. However, that could flip once people find out Jon's parentage.

Obviously you haven't seen the new leak, which suggests Sansa orders Littlefinger's execution and Arya is the one that actually kills him.
Posted on 10/26/16 at 4:11 pm to SirSaintly
Is that actually confirmed?
Posted on 10/26/16 at 5:37 pm to ohiovol
It's not "confirmed-confirmed" but yes, it was in the Reddit leak.

I really hope that's not the case for 3 reasons:
1) Arya has no real connection to Littlefinger. Yes, he ruined her family, but she is incredibly ignorant of it. I am not sure if LF in the books has ever set eyes on Arya, while I know he has twice in the TV show. Plus Arya already got Walker Frey. I think Sansa or in the least Tyrion should be the one to directly off him.
2) I really like the idea of LF's death having his throat slit by the Valyrian Steel dagger he framed Tyrion with and the one he put up to Ned Stark's neck when he said "I did warn you not to trust me".
3) The final season turns into every shitty fantasy series ever. Really, with LF and almost certainly Cersei gone, who is left? The Others and Euron at best. The Others are clearly just Evil that want to kill all of our main characters. Euron on the other hand may be even worse than Ramsay. There's no layered villain left in the series that you can somewhat sympathize with and root for. For the naratives sake and for the one thing Martin has bitched about "The Lord of the Rings", LF needs to stay until the end.
I think in the books, Varys will still be a definitive villain at the end, and LF will at least live until ADOS in order to see Winterfell. Plus I still think Stannis becoming the Night's King is a distinct possibility.

As you all know, I 100% support a Jon and Dany union. I don't think it will be a fairly tale like marriage. I think it will be tragic like jon and dany's last relationships. Only this time one of them dies.
Sansa will end up being the ruler of the north, possibly with tyrion at her side. But i kinda hope it's gendry.
