Doesn't change the fact that there are some complete dumbasses with fancy degrees. Enough of daddys money can eventually get almost anyone a degree.

The Great Recession hit hard those who never went to college, and they have not recovered. Of the 7.2 million jobs lost between December 2007 and January 2010, 5.6 million were for workers with no more than high school diplomas. They've only recovered 1% of those losses over the past six years.
Yikes.

I think the rub is that college costs have outpaced wage growth and that college grads are taking jobs that dont require a degree, but due to the labor supply og college grads, employers want one because they dont have to pay a premium to get it.

Meh, the article isn't all that damning. They include technical schools and certifications as college.
Higher education makes you more valuable. That doesn't have to mean 4 year college.

I am sure all the English majors can take solace in the fact that they have that competitive edge for their Starbucks barista career. That's a lot of money to wait tables for the rest of your life.
I am still of the opinion that traded and skilled workers are much better off than unskilled liberal arts majors.

I want to assume they clumped those into the 2 year / Associates section but I could be wrong.

At the end of the day, going to college at least from a statistical viewpoint guarantees you at least a foot in the door.

But college is where most gays get turned into a gay. So if you send your kid there, there's like a 43% chance they'll come back gay.
