Managing your child's screen time?

How much time do you parents out there allow your children to be on their electronics? I know school time vs summer time is a bit different. However, even schools are moving to tablet based teaching. I ordered one of these guys to help monitor and set time limits. OT parents what are some of your parameters? Cheers.

About 20 minute sessions and two maybe three sessions a day.

My parents didn't limit shite for me and I'm a 25-year old college graduate with a job and a minor cocaine addiction.
It could be a lot worse. Just let them play on the ipad.

I probably need to buy one of these to control my own internet habits!

As long as he is spending time outside, playing with toys, doing puzzles, getting read to by me; I don't worry much about it.

You rip lines off the screen? Cause that still counts as screen time.

I want them to have social skills and learn how to interact with other humans... Just a thought though.

I mean I just talked to the kids in my class at recess. Serious question, is recess still a thing?

It's literally the only thing I use my ipad for anymore.

I dig the self righteous parents who "raise their kids in church", while their 3-10 year olds spend the entire service playing on a phone or tablet.

Yeah kinda my point. It's just a babysitter for those type of parents. There are obviously some good things to these devices but if you unplugged the router in a house with kids, they'd be in the living room in a heartbeat wondering what the hell happened. Meltdown ensues.

So you didn't actually play anything at recess? We played smear the queer till the principal made us stop.

All day baw.
Also kicking the shite out of the ball in kick ball to impress my second grade ladies. Also, it was kickball with peg outs only.

No matter what program or app you use to monitor with, your kids will find a way around it or how to turn it off.

If she can figure this out at 8, then she deserves more screen time. Lol. This device has been pretty solid so far.

I'm just saying, don't be surprised when she starts finding ways around it

We used to play wall ball, teachers just watched when we pegged each other as hard as we can.
Now a days you would probably be kicked out of school for hitting someone with a tennis ball.
