Telling to kill himself was a little over the top. I'll admit that. But it's not like these debates are ever even vaguely "amicable". Especially not on an anonymous internet forum.

The reason the "firearm homicide rate" in the US is as high as it is is due to suicides. The 10 times dwindles to less than 3 times with that taken into consideration. Your advocation for me to kill myself via a gun helps your argument though.
Vague numbers do serve your argument better. When analyzing gun violence in the US the homicide rate can be diminished rather quickly by changing a few markers, none of those markers have anything to do with gun control laws either.
