No. They don't have the same style. LF is more punishing.

OJ was not as powerful as LF7. They didn't work out with weights then, and he was a skinny dude.

Go watch Sayers, Simpson and Brown to some extent. Look at Juice's strides. LF is a great back, but not the same style or fluidity. Simpson was water.

All y'all comparing OJ and others over their college and pro career vs. LF just starting his junior year in college. LF has a style of his own and it's still developing.

I compare him more as a faster Earl Campbell.

Fournette is pretty much a Marcus Dupree clone - big, fast, incredibly strong.

It's Dickerson.

LF, IMO, has more lateral speed. OJ was a straight ahead runner.

I guess this is a joke because it is far from accurate.

No. OJ was more deceptive and not as powerful.

OJ gave it all he had on EVERY run - wasn't concerned with his image or being cool.

That first statement is dead on. OJ was amazingly nimble. Both are big, fast and powerful, but Fournette is more powerful.

Where you got that second statement from is a mystery. You seem to imply Fournette takes plays off. I think he gives it everything on every play.

If you cloned Fournette, and the two Fournette's took on Earl head on, two against one, the two Fournettes would be run over. He is not at all like Earl.

I'm surprised no one has said Herchel Walker. Both are about the same size. Both are more straight line speed/power guys. Neither were very "sudden" in their cuts. They both just prefer to put their heads down and run through tacklers

Of the Walker , Bo and Dupree triumvirate, Marcus was the smoothest most natural rb.

Walker , Bo and LF are all 6'1". LF is the heaviest of the three. Walker is the fastest of the three. Dupree is taller than the other three and weighed the same as LF. Herschel was the smallest at 212 lbs. And before you look up an old roster , Walker said himself he never played over 212 lbs. The media inferring that Walker was a 225 lbs rb are false.

The comparisons to Dickerson aren't accurate. Dickerson weighed 212. He ran straight up and could cut on a dime and leave change. He was also 6'3" and wasn't prone to lowering his shoulder and running over defenders like LF.

In the open field LF runs more like Bo. Behind the line of scrimmage he is similar to George Rodgers. Rodgers learned patience and LF has done the same. LF is faster than Rodgers. Fans question just how fast LF is. Against South Carolina last season he hit 20.5 mph (IN PADS) out running db's that were 45lbs lighter.

Enjoy LF this season. With Miles requesting LF lose a little weight it will improve his quickness , explosiveness and speed. That's a scary thought.

Bum Phillips once said this about Earl Campbell; "I don't know if he's in a class by himself, but I do know that when that class gets together, it sure don't take long to call the roll." LF is in that class and he might take it to another level this season.

And for the OP. Give me LF over OJ.

Fournette surprises me with his ability to cut and stab his way to the endzone leaving the defense a gashed mess.

OJ was great but not even similar in running style and nowhere near the strength of Leonard Fournette. OJ was very elusive and catch the ball out of the backfield extremely well.
LF is combination of strength and speed more like Hershell Walker and Bo Jackson.
