The expression "the customer is always right"...yay or nay?

Personally, I think this is the epitome, if not a major source, of a large amount of the sense of entitlement many Americans seem to possess these days.
No, you are not always right. In fact, you can be entirely wrong in many instances.
Customer complains about kabob order
Also, I would definitely hit it, but that bitch needs to be put in her place.
On a side note, why is the "c-word" being censored on here?
Is this word really that offensive?

Ask the greatest American of all time: Al Bundy.
The answer is hell no.
The answer is hell no.

It originated with Klan supplies wholesalers, "The customer's always white."
It was the original white privilege.
It was the original white privilege.

Negative. If I agreed with everything my client said or gave them everything they requested, we'd both be in a world of shite. My job is to provide an amicable agreement.

According to the proprietor of The Fashionable Male, the customer is always an a-hole.

It is not correct and never has been correct. I'm not sure of the origin, but I can guarantee it was bullshite then too. I'd imagine it was some sort of marketing ploy to make people feel empowered.

The guy who started that expression died broke and alone.

The frick?
Apple is the world's largest company and their deceased CEO brought them there by sticking to his belief that the customer doesn't know shite and you tell them what they need and they'll buy it for enormous sums of money.

If you're in business for yourself, then yes. The customer is always right. Even when they're not. Make sense?

Depends on if you can afford losses.

So did Pablo Escobar. You selling Macs or coke for the boss?

"The customer isn't always right, but the customer is always in charge." I heard it said that way before.
