Andrus Peat, Senio Kelemete took the top guard snaps today. As a reminder, this is going to be fluid.

Payton said he sees Andrus Peat starting this year. Not sure yet if it will be at guard or tackle.

Well that's good news, I think

Well, he was never gonna play at DT for us.

Does Byrd have a no practice clause in his contract?

I think it is bad news for Eulls

Yeah moves from one side to the other in the NFL rarely if ever work out.

Eulls disarmed someone wielding a firearm in high school, good hands I assume.
fits the guard thing perfectly (I'm honestly just sunshine pumping everything)

Richard Cooper went from DE to Saints starting LT for several years.
Roy Green went from CB to All Pro WR in the 80s.
Troy Brown played on both sides at the end of his career.

Not impossible but I'd say the odds are against him. Hey, the more competition the better I guess.

Richard Sherman went from a 3 year college WR to 2 year college CB to all-pro.

I should have mentioned that I was referring to Andrus Peat. Coach wants him on the field, and he has an open spot at guard.

One of the Seahawks' starting O-Lineman last year was a converted D-Lineman who had only been playing the position for a very short time.

Perhaps it is but you can also say the Saints see something in him that they don't want to lose.

Another sign of how fricked we are at OG

I'm not up to date on Eulls' background but a lot of big guys played both lines in HS and some even in college.
For instance Kelemete was a LT and a DT in high school (and was a rated LT coming out), but played DT his first year in college before moving back to the OLine.
And with adding Fairley and Rankins his chance of cracking the 53 or even the PS were slim to none based on numbers (Jenkins and Davison are also locks on the 53 and we likely carry only 4).
He at least has an outside shot at guard and sometimes this kind of thing works even if it's a long shot.
We were the ones who transitioned Parnell from DE to TE to OT, and he eventually started at tackle for the Cowboys, and was a full time starter for the Jags last year.
