What is your earliest "movie memory?"

What is the earliest scene or part you remember watching as a kid?
One of my earliest memories of a feature film that wasn't some pandering kids movie was walking into the living room when my dad was watching Shawshank and it was the scene where Dufresne is hitting the pipe with the rock when the lightening strikes. Not too bad of a first movie memory.
(The Brooks thread gave me the idea for this thread).
The first movie I cried in was Forrest Gump, when Bubba died in Vietnam. I was very upset. It was right after the movie was released on video so I guess late 1994? I was barely 6.
That also happened to be the year I saw my first movie in theaters (that I actually remember attending), The Lion King.

Do you remember if you enjoyed The Wizard when you were a kid?

Watching the Wizard of Oz and being scared of the tornado scene.
Earliest theater memory was seeing 2001: A Space Odyssey with my dad in the mid-late 80s.

Absolutely. I turned 6 in 1988 and got a Nintendo for my birthday that year with Mario, Duck Hunter, etc. The Wizard hit theatres in 89 or so. I was pretty fricking stoked to go see it.
Honestly, I'd be pretty pumped to see that movie tonight: Fred Savage, a Bridges brother, a Slater, Jenny Harris the queen of Indy rock, badass 80s soundtrack featuring Send Me An Angel, Nintendo, Life on the open road, Power Glove, brotherly love and redemption...great flick.

My first scene I remember from VHS is the first scene where the crocodile confronts Captain Hook in Peter Pan. Guess I was 3 or so? This one is a bit hazy and have some hazy memories of the Little Mermaid as well.
I do remember very well my first time in the theater though. I was 4, and I still vividly remember first seeing the castle and the stained glass windows in Beauty and the Beast. I also remember Belle's song and the end of Beauty and the Beast. That movie left an impression on me for sure. I do remember a cake from my sister's first birthday party, but it may be my first very vivid memory.

King Kong.
Legit contender for best movie of all time IMHO, if not for the sheer excellence of the effects for its time.

I saw some Dirty Harry movie with my dad when I was really young, Sudden Impact maybe. I remember falling asleep when I saw Fantasia in the theater. I didn't like that movie.

My dad used to drag me to James Bond films when I was little and made me watch them with him. Whenever a sex scene came on, my Mom either put my head beneath the seat or stormed across the room to cover my eyes, depending on the environment.
Came in handy one pub trivia night. Had an ultimate round where I had to name all the Bond films and name the main antagonist of each of them.

That's awesome
My mom would always try and cover my eyes, and I'd fight her every time. I started finding sights through the cracks of the fingers. When is go to my dad's house, he didn't give two shits and would let me see everything without resistance. Dad-1 Mom-0

Star Wars. Empire strikes back I think. I remember my mom complaining to my dad about him showing it to us out of order(she got it for him for Christmas).
That was one of my first two memories (the other was playing doctor and I got in big trouble.
My other super early memory was my parents took us to see A Nightmare Befoe Christmas but then they wanted to see Jurrasic Park so we snuck into Jurrasic Park. I was like 3.
My favorite movie when I was little was 20,000 Leaugues Under the Sea and I introduced myself as Captain Nemo.
