If he resigns a new deal this year he'd be tradeable. That ship hasn't quite sailed yet.

Who? oh, you mean the guy picked at #8, that got outplayed by Kikaha, who was selected at #44...
Gonna be great seeing the #17 pick get outplayed by Bell this year as well....
I would say I hope for Ryan to get inured, but Saints' chances are better when he is playing...

100%. Contrary to popular belief, this team will try everything in their power to bring this man another championship within the next 3 years.

I think it's likely but I also don't think it's a complete absurdity there's a chance he isn't. What if some team like the Jets comes in offering 28mil a year for a few years and the Saints won't go above 22-23 to something.
My thing is there's more evidence against that he won't than he will if you really think about it. If it was a foregone conclusion why didn't the Saints redo his deal to get some cap space to make a run at some players at the beginning of free agency? To me they did everything else they could to get guys like Fleener, Lauranitis, and Fairley before even trying to touch Drew.
That's going to be a very interesting aspect this season if a deal doesn't get done before opening day.

For the sake of argument, the Saints' 2015 record with Brees: 7-8

Typical. A falcon fan trying to pic up chicks on a Saturday night and blowing it

None of those losses are on Drew Brees. In fact, without Drew Brees, I doubt, we win two games. Our losses are squarely on the defense. Brees led the league in total passing yards and was the most accurate passer over 20 yards attemted.
Try thinking it through before you click submit.

Aging Drew Brees still throws NFL's most accurate deep ball

Now that Peyton Manning has retired, 37-year-old Drew Brees is officially the NFL's second oldest starting quarterback after Tom Brady, who will turn 39 this August.
Despite his age, after 15 seasons, the New Orleans Saints signal-caller still throws one of the most beautiful deep balls. In 2015, Brees was the league's most accurate passer on attempts over 20 yards (50.6 completion percentage), according to Pro Football Focus.

I love how people keep pumping up Grayson. He will be out the league in two yrs. Another wasted 3rd rd pick

You completely missed the point. All I was saying wasn't that the Saints weren't great last year, so comparing them to pre-Brees teams was a sorta moot point. This thread is about whether he'll be re-signed and it isn't out of the question to think that he might not. As your article points out, he is now the second oldest QB in the league and he commands a very high wage. I mean, should they guarantee him $24million a year till he's 40?
