Anyone watching The Ranch?

For what looks like a low budget sitcom, I find it to be very well written and hilarious. The dynamic between father and son as portrayed by Sam Elliot is spot on. I have been really enjoying it so far.

I finished the 10 episodes, it wasn't bad. I like the Kelso/Hyde relationship they have going. those two work well with each other. the story-line with the ex is rather poor and it is obvious what will happen.

i made it about 30 seconds in. someone made a joke about showing shania their twain and the laugh track roared and i said nope.

It wasn't a laugh track, it was a live audience. They were most likely told when to laugh though.

The laugh track is ridiculous. I already don't like them, but it's way overdone. Especially in the first episode.
I will admit it gets less annoying after episode one, but I just can't stand laugh tracks, especially to that degree in today's time. It's okay in a show like Seinfield where it isn't as overbearing and the jokes laughed at are typically always funny.. but it's way overused here. I just prefer an option to watch these sitcoms without laugh track. I don't need to laugh to enjoy a comedy sitcom every time I want to view it, or I don't need it trying to make something funny I don't find funny at all.
Sorry for rambling, it's my bed time.

you guys with the laugh track bitching.
Get the stick out of your arse and just enjoy the show.
Just watch the fricken show and laugh when you want to, or don't watch it and say you simply didn't like it. But don't come here and say "i'm not going to like this show b/c it has a laugh track" it doesn't make you cool or edgy to say that.

or say you dont like it because of the laugh track if that's the actual reason (or one of) you dont like it.

I can't stand laugh tracks. I always notice them and it is just like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I watched the first episode. The only scene I got a real laugh out of was when Sam Elliott said, "What the frick are those?" in reference to Ashton Kutcher's Uggs. I may give it one more shot just out of respect to the great Sam Elliott.

The accents were too much. Turned it off almost immediately.

Watched all 10 episodes in 2 days. I enjoyed it, but there are times the accents/laugh tracks made me smh.

I can ignore the accents/laugh tracks and just enjoy the show. Just finished and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I thought they did a great job not trying to make it something it isn't. Shows today are so politically/agenda driven, in many cases, and it was nice to just watch a simple show with pretty good writing.

I took a picture of my balls and sent it to my wife. She will get it in the morning and I will report back with her no doubt hilarious reaction.

I am pretty easy-going
I mean I didn't quit watching it right away. I felt the show got better and it did become a little more tolerable after the first episode. I still wish there was an option to mute it out.
It's not about being cool or edgy.. It's just a personally preference. It's a bit overkill in this show, IMO.. Some of my favorite sitcoms have laugh tracks and I still love the shows, Married With Children and Seinfield.. but they aren't quite as obvious or they are at more funny moments.. It really stands out in this show. It could be the way the audio is all set-up. I noticed recently when listening in Seinfield the laugh track seems a bit dialed down.
Many comedy sitcoms do just great without them. Many of the new ABC/Fox shows don't use them and I am very appreciative of that.
Sometimes I hear the constant laugh track and it's harder to not notice it to the point of it becomes less enjoyable.. other times I don't notice them.. I would just prefer in today's time we have at least an alternative option or no laugh track at all. It's not just a few people trying to be edgy though.. I have researched the topic before and an overwhelming majority prefers no laugh track.
Sorry my opinion/preference bothered you. Wasn't trying to "bitch" I will probably pick back up watching The Ranch some time soon.

I love the show. Amazing cast and very funny. Also some very nice heartfelt moments. The next 10 episodes should come out in the fall I believe.

I enjoyed the show. How can a NETFLIX sitcom with Sam Elliot saying "frick" be a bad show? The 2 brothers' relationship is pretty funny. Kelso cracks me up.

Watched two episodes. Tried to hard for my taste. I really don't like "laugh track" sitcoms anymore.

I watched the whole series. I liked it a lot. Danny Masterson is funny and the best one on the show.
