I don't think I have ever seen an athlete that just "Doesn't Get It" Like this dude

But overall what would ANY franchise see anything positive about what he has done so far in the pros to waste any money on him....

Well I never said NL GM'S were smart.. If they are stupid enough to pay this guy that's them....

Shouldn't come as a surprise. Dude is a stupid, drunk, conceited piece of crap, as well as a horrible QB. If I was an NFL GM, I wouldn't even consider signing this dope even if he played for free.

Really Johnny football is brilliant because he's managed to change the subjects to can he stay clean from is he good enough to play in the NFL
Because even if he never drank in his life , he still has a noodle arm with with avg NFL athletic ability
Even if a team got him clean they would be saying ,.. wow this dude is hot garbage

even if Manziel had a decent work ethic or gave a single frick, I'm not sure he would have been much of an NFL QB.
I think part of his lack of giving a shite is that of a guy who saw just how far out of his league he truly was.

Luckily there's still time for him to start his MTV's "The challenge" career

Why would you feel sorry for a talented athlete who was raised in money & was pretty much allowed to do as he pleased, in high school ( if you believe his best friend as quoted in the S.I. story ) and in college? He's been paid millions of dollars, has had the best advisers & rehabbers money can buy, yet he still told his daddy to frick off when he pushed his son to go to rehab. LaBron I Am The King James tried to help him, as did several former NFL QB's. He's blown it, in more ways than one.

Seriously? they had the worse weapons in the league and he was at a decent 6.7 ypa last season and 7td / 5 int. I thought he was ok considering the players they had he definitely showed some flashes.

Its not the smartest thing to refer to a GM as "dude".
That video is one of my favorite things in quite a while, it just has everything, it's magical.

I think he "gets it" more than anyone.
He's talking about getting his act together while clearly being on something, making sure the camera was on him and talking about how he's been to a club 6 nights in a row, and incorrectly naming the person he lives with.
He certainly doesn't get it at this point.

It's certainly a sad situation, not sure why anyone wouldn't feel sorry for him. People seem to equate feeling sorry for someone with excusing their behaviors, that never quite made sense to me.

Remorse is usually a key component for someone to gain sympathy.
I might be more inclined to feel bad if he atleast acted like his life wasn't going as well as he wants everyone to know its going. He doesn't care about his NFL career, why should I?

All signs point to him being an addict, I'd think we can all agree. He's basically put partying over his NFL career, which he claims he still wants.
I'd venture to guess most addicts, when right in the thick of it, aren't usually remorseful. I'd also venture to guess at some point down the road he'll look back, do some interviews, and most certainly be remoresful and embarrassed of his behavior.

The whole video is so cringeworthy

The sad thing is with the limited window of an NFL career, it will be too late soon if not already for Manziel. I cant really see him amounting to anything off the field. Football was/is his shot and he's blowing it.
