As bad as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are, snapchat is even worse

I think we can all agree that social media has had a negative impact (as well as some positives) on western civilization. TD loves to hate Facebook, ig, etc., so I don't feel the need to explain that.
However, snapchat has killed this generation's ability to live in the moment and it's becoming scary. If you go through your "stories" on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday morning, you'll see several 30+ second stories of bars, clubs, concerts, etc. At midget wrestling the other night, all one could see was slapdicks holding their phones high in the air. Look at any video of a concert and you'll see hundreds of phones. I have a friend who goes out 3 nights every week and posts long stories every single time. what ever happened to getting hammered and trying to get laid? When I go out my phone rarely leaves my pocketf, and when it does, it's for phone calls or texts.
Why can't people simply enjoy their lives without having to let everyone know how much they're enjoying it?

So you go out for several hours and put less than a minutes worth of video from it on snapchat. Whats the problem?

Why do you hate something that promotes getting naked pictures of chicks?
Posted on 4/10/16 at 6:48 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Is this a baby boomers vs millenials thread?

All of my SnapChat stories are of me getting laid so you're obviously doing something wrong.

Because its a free frickin country and if I want to record some midget wrestling then thats what Im going to do.

The problem is people think other poeple give a shite about their life

I love Snapchat, I enjoy using my phone to enhance my experiences, I like photos and I enjoy combining my experience with photos. What I think is annoying is when people complain about what others do with their lives. Delete your snapchat account.

Snapchat has its uses, don't get me wrong.
Most people are terrible at it though. Nobody wants to watch 90 seconds of a drake concert recorded on an iPhone.

It's amazing how many people document their whole fricking day on Snapchat. Walking through Disney World a few weeks a while back was eye opening with how many people had their phones out.

Social media certainly has promoted the selfish, me-first, my-opinion-is-right-and-your's-is-wrong attitude that millenials promote

Yeah u rite, these people DON'T STOP when they're on vacation.

I agree on stuff you said in the OP but
What use does snapchat have? You complain about them snapping concerts and whatever while they are out drinking.
Would you rather them snap you shite while they sit on their couch?

Then skip it or don't watch it at all

frick snapchat and the horse it rode in on
Posted on 4/10/16 at 6:53 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Ehhhh only problem I have with it is when people go to concerts and post their stories 50 times of the band playing. I mean a few times is fine, but why not actually enjoy it instead of filming the whole thing.

You really do love finding things to bitch and moan about.

I think we're putting the cart before the horse with this. I think all social media did was expose the narcissistic among us.

Disagree. I think Snapchat is one of the better forms of social media.
