In da car. Anyone know how I can get back to BR? Willing to travel through Mississippi. Not sure which roads are closed east of SPort.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know the road conditions now, but I took 171 from Shreveport to Mansfield then 84 to I-49 this morning around 10:00 and it was fine.
Google Louisiana state police road closures to figure out your route before leaving.

I'm attempting to drive Nola to Shreveport at around lunch tomorrow. Any thoughts on whether 49 will be open by then?

I was going to suggest going south on Hwy 1 then rejoining I-49, but the DOTD map shows 1 is closed south of Shreveport near the Red River Parish line.
It shows 171 as open from S'port to Mansfield.

If you can, wait a day or two. Bad weather means bad accidents. Whoever awaits you in BR will understand. Don't be a statistic.
The guy in the ditch was ok, but there are a handful of crying mothers tonight because their sons underestimated mother nature.

You might have a chance. At this point, complete toss up depending on how much rain from BR to North La tonight. Still a bunch of rain from the Gulf that will make it's way up. Gut feeling says no. You might have a shot Saturday, wouldn't plan for Tomorrow.

Too dangerous to be driving

We took hwy 1 south and had to go through some water around noon.
171 and the roads to the west side and i49 were closed when we tried around 630am. I guess they are open now.
