John Rocker. I bet he was a joy to go to high school with.

I feel like Ditka was a huge meathead in his playing days.

JaWalrus for losing all that Raiders money so quickly

Lyle Alzado
More than a few Raiders from the 70s and 80s are on this list.

Lenny Dykstra
Billy Beane said he was really dumb and overly-confident. Classic meathead in every way.
"While playing in Double-A in 1984 he befriended fellow outfielder and teammate Billy Beane, who later said that Dykstra was "perfectly designed, emotionally" to play baseball and that he had "no concept of failure." According to Beane, his first comments on seeing Hall of Fame pitcher Steve Carlton warming up were, "shite, I'll stick him."[1]"

Pete Rose. Incognito was the first one to think of though.

How did this take so long? He was the first guy who popped into my head.
Dude would rather roid and lift than play football any day of the week.

Kyle Turley
Kyle was a surfer bro and played in a band. He was just a big dude and always ready to scrap.

Comment reminds me of a dude I went to hs with who ended up winning state in wrestling in the late 90s. Kid was pretty small but heavily muscled and also played football. He was far from the best technical wrestler but was just strong as shite and couldn't fathom actually losing to kids much better than he was initially. By the time he figured out what he was doing he was really good.

-"The Boz"
-80% of the Nebraska football team up to the Bill Callahan years
-Bill Romanowski
-Brian Cushing
-Tom Zibikowski
-Ndamakong Suh
-Lyle Alzado
-That nutjob from West Virginia who would smash his head with his helmet
-Mike Alstott??? I don't remember much about his personality. He may have been a pretty good guy.

Was just coming to point it out to you.

According to over 90% of those listed it seems being a "meathead" mainly applies to white athletes....interesting.

Erik Williams. So underrated. Was prototypical mauler at RT. Big Nasty out there for a decade...tried to destroy people every play (sometimes after the whistle when he would see red) . Brought the intimidation factor on O.
