It's true, for so many people in my age range (i'm 26) people are rushing to "start a family" and I think they are missing out on actually discovering themselves first.

That's not to say that it doesn't work out for some people. I have a handful of friends who have healthy serious relationships or marriages. But that takes work and isn't a "flip of a switch" type of commitment.
