I've never been, but if what you're saying is true. I would have been pissed too. It's not like it was a free event.

the whole process has changed. in the past you'd have recruits coming in all day, and you couldnt hear about it anywhere else
now you can stream all the ceremonies on your phone
i got to work at 8 yesterday and there were (counting the early guys) 11 commits in already, before the bash doors even opened

I posted this a few days ago on recruiting board but thought I would share because it was funny....
In 2006, I was working at French Market Bistro on Highland and called in sick so a buddy and I could go to the bash. Well at the end of the day, I had the opportunity to have Les and a few of the other coaches sign my LSU helmet (I was into memorabilia back then). Welp, wouldn't you know it, someone from the newspaper snapped a photo during the helmet signing and it was on the front page of the advocate sports page. It wasn't a big deal being a bartending job but funny anyway. And I got some shite for it the next day at work.

Harbaugh knows how to throw a Bash! Celebs, bands, Lou Holtz, Tom Brady, etc. Surprised Kid Rock didn't stop by.

It’s a fundraiser established by The Gridiron Club. LSU doesn’t have a hand in it.

Guys, back in the day (just a few years ago) there was a beer TRUCK giving out beer all day. Not ONE beer for the ONE ticket they gave you at check in. There were about 15-20 restaurants all giving out free food, good food too I might add. Not ONE styrofoam container AGAIN for a ticket they gave you at check-in. For those who haven't been there in the past, it has gone way down hill. Just MHO.......

Last I checked, LSU does not put on the Bash. The GridIron club does.

Yep. It's gone steadily down hill. Look at the upvotes on my OP and there are lots who think what I am thinking and clicking on the upvote but only a select few of us are choosing to post about it. I'm just stating my opinion and apparently a lot of people agree with me.

The Direct TV Advertising firm should make a commercial about LSU fans, most are a bunch of "Settlers". This post was edited on 2/5/16 at 8:07 am
